A pro consolidation group called Rebuild Government (RebuildGovernment.org) has surfaced to help support the work of the Memphis and Shelby County Charter Commission. Many of its supporters have preached that our current system can be "blown up" and replaced with a new and efficient government.
Let's be honest, someone from this organization needs to head to Nashville to receive the lecture on who controls the funds and who calls the shots in this state. And by the way, the lecture will also include how you'll operate to receive your funds. So much for working from a clean slate.
